Mihai Duhovnicu, the top Romanian student player, joined our club
as a playing coach. He is 26. With Romania entering the EU Mihai was able
to come over in February 2007.
Before arriving he sent us a CDR of him in action
with his coach and also a
powerpoint presentation (right click and "save target as" to download
it - this will take a few minutes even with a broadband connection). This presentation shows all his table
tennis awards, certificates and life in the game!
For several months Mihai was at
Galion club. Here he
worked with Galion
Girls team. Their chief coach is Vasile Dumitrescu - he was Romanian
national coach (an expert in working with the women and girls teams)
His teams won
16 European and over 70 National titles! See Galion
Girls team
with Mihai and Vasile Dumitrescu
Mihai finished at University
in the summer. He was at Physics and Informatics Collegiate at University of
Bucharest. He got a degree. "It's very important that, because I'm conscious I can't live
only table tennis.
The table tennis is for me the most
important activity, but the faculty will offer
me a possibility to work in Informatics IT at a high level (Html-Web
pages, Office, Graphics and more). In my private live I'm
passionate about graphics and arts (especially painting on window panes),
also I have strong knowledge of building furniture and a good knowledge about
home and garden design."
